4l60e, NP241c tranny mount question

I just got everything in place and there is a about a 3-4 inch gap between the top of the mount and where it bolts to the tranny.  I was under the impression that i could bolt the the transmission to the original mounts.  Also I thought I might be able to use the tranny mount that originally fits the 4l60e but i believe the studs that come with it are too short.  If I didn't have to worry about how low the transfer case sits or if the front drive shaft could make it over the cross support i could make it fit.  Just wondering if there is something I'm overlooking or if there is an aftermarket support that will solve my problems. Anybody else ran into this problem? Thanks everybody
