hi, I'm new to this board but not to trucks.  I just picked up this '87 silverado. I also have a '71 cheyenne and '71 suburban.  Lots of good information here.

Thanks for the compliments.  The truck is no show truck, just a decent driver.  Glad to hear somebody likes the interior becuase I have been wishy-washy about it but it's growing on me.  If I could do it today it would be silver w/ black interior.  The truck has the original 305/TH400 combo with 2.41 gears.  It runs ok, but it's a dog with the gears.   I can't wait for the motor to get tired so it can be replaced with an LS1/4L80E.

Hi Leevon. I'd seen a truck that looks like yours for sale about a year ago. Is this it?

Hmmm...looks like it, but I've got the original grille, and according to the guy I bought it from said a year ago it was in the orginal charcaol/red paint scheme.  But let me tell ya there were tons of these trucks in Southern AR.
