Hey my 84 k10 is the same color. My kids call it the turd! Ill be doin a first time spray gun paint job on it soon! My 72 chevelle has been in black satin rattle can for 10 years. Not bad but its time for some shine on it now and the k10 is the guine pig!

some shade of grey if your going with a black dash pad. Need some contrast in color.

I think shade of grey is based on preference. Id prefer a medium metal flake grey. Metallic silver wouldnt look to bad as long as you had some billet or brushed aluminum on the dash to go with it.

Then I am officially confused on what you meant by the bottom half of the dash.

That is what I thought you were saying.  From the factory, if the outside was black everything else was also.
And your statement above was asking what color to paint it.  I was just saying to paint it the same color if all the other metal inside is going to be the same as the outside.

no I am saying from the factory they came that way.
What color are you doors going to be?  What color are the door panels?  There is a way to make them match, I was just going with what you said that if you painted the metal all of the metal would the same color.
