This is the factory part?

			-
Ive seen that on a truck around town before. I assumed it was a sway bar? Not sure. Id love to know.

			-
Also, your apringa are sagging a bit

			-
Looks to be some type of axle truss.  Don't think it's factory, though.  Don't think GM ever put on axle trusses.  Aftermarket or maybe put on by the military - IDK.

			-
i would of thought it would of had a dana60 up front

X2 axle truss. Keeps the axle tubes from popping out of the carrier.

				but a military

I thought GM started making the K30 based Military trucks in 84. I thought Dodge had the contract in 76.

			-
Us Canadians were way ahead of the game in the truck selection haha. We knew in 76 Chev's were superior.

i would of thought it would of had a dana60 up front
Dana 60's didn't show up until 77 or 78.

anyway is this a "m1009" i think this is the part im confused about
M1009 would be basically a 3/4 ton Blazer
He is saying this is a 76 K30
The M1008 is the 5/4 ton Truck and I think the first year was 84

			-
ment the m1008 lol but thats what i was confused about they started in 83 to 86. so this truck has nothing to do with the us military?

so this truck has nothing to do with the us military?
I don't think so. but I have seen several round eye'd Canadian military trucks, but no 81-87, just American military ones.

Found on the front axle. What does it mean 50-11?

50 is the number of teeth on the ring. 11 is the numper of teeth on the pinion. 11 divided by 50 equals 4.54r so you have 4.55 gears.
Heres that truck I saw around town. I forgot I took a picture. You mights be able to see the axle, im not sure.
