Title: 76 k30 Army, front axle

On the front axle to see this

Post by: DustyRusty on May 26, 2011, 04:11:21 pm: Looks to be some type of axle truss. Don't think it's factory, though. Don't think GM ever put on axle trusses. Aftermarket or maybe put on by the military - IDK.

1 Ton's came with Dana 44 and Dana 60

and I have the same brace on my 75 K5, you can kinda see it in this pic

M1009 would be basically a 3/4 ton Blazer

He is saying this is a 76 K30

The M1008 is the 5/4 ton Truck and I think the first year was 84

I don't think so. but I have seen several round eye'd Canadian military trucks, but no 81-87, just American military ones.

Post by: 1979C20 on June 23, 2011, 03:18:36 am: 50 is the number of teeth on the ring. 11 is the numper of teeth on the pinion. 11 divided by 50 equals 4.54r so you have 4.55 gears.
Heres that truck I saw around town. I forgot I took a picture. You mights be able to see the axle, im not sure.
