well boys. i have decided to shave my mirrors and ran gutters. my question. where do i start?

Skim coat with filler over any flaws or small pockets left over after the grinding.

Sorry but you left yourself wide open for that one!
As far as the door handle holes you will ned to make a piece to weld into the hole. As far as the larger bolt holes a piece of brass stock works well for a backer while you slowly weld up the holes It absorbs the heat to reduce warpage of the sheet metal, plus gives something for the weld to sit on instead of just trying to fill up the empty hole.

You could also fill your stake pockets while you are at it.
