Yes guys this is real and it is cool. Before you comment yes it is a cab and chassis rear end not a dually but when you tell people what you drive you don't say 6 ft cab and chassis you say 6ft bed dually, you get the point. It is a big block 454, 4 wheel drive " actually 6 wheel drive", and I think it has 4,76 gearing but I'm not sure someone told me what it is but I'm too tired to remember. Let me know what you guys think and ask any questions you want. Btw just turned 16 and it is my first truck I'm building so thanks for the support. I'll upload pics tomorrow pc is not working now

Cool looking truck. What do the rear wheel wells look like? Are they tubbed?
-
No they're not tubbed just regular wheel wells. Thanks for fixing it I couldn't figure it out haha.
-
I have seen trucks like this before. The outer rear tire hangs outside of the fenders a fair amount doesn't it?! Cool first truck for a 16 y.o.! Good to learn the basics on, if you have a good teacher. Congrats, and have fun with it!
-
Yes
-
truck looks great, how wide is that axle backing plate to backing plate? if you dont mind measuring it for me
-
Hey guys I just had some more pics of my shortbed dually I thought you would like to see. Tell me what you think. Bed is getting painted tomorrow and bumper and 10,000 lb hitch installed!
-
Did you post pics at this page?
-
Here is my 1983 shortbed 1 Ton dually that ive been building. Let me know how it looks so far!
-
And the truck
-
That bed is looking good.
-
I like the looks of the dually without the bulky dually fenders.
-
We could accomplish that with a cab and chassis rear end instead of a full dually.
-
Almost looks pro street but this truck is built to work!
-
Looks cool, I've seen other trucks with that narrowed duel rearend. I came across one on a c20 long bed with the duel Alex that tucked under the bed. Was this axle a factory option or and aftermarket thing in the eighties? What's the deal? Any square body experts know?
-
gotta ask, what was that in the grill next to the park lights? in the last couple of pictures

Chuck Norris approves of this build:

Hey Mr. Chuck Norris im putting new pics on in 30 seconds ha

Here is a few more.

And More...

The cab and chassis generally used the corporate 14 bolt full floater and wide side dually would use a dana 70. Gearing is probably 4.56 and this truck was most likely a tow truck at some point. Very nice truck it just looks TOUGH.

Thank you it does look mean
