Anyone here ever fooled with 4th gen Camaros? I have always liked the look of the 3rd gen IROC wheels. Thinking they would look good on my 95 Camaro? I know the fronts and rears are different from each other. From what I have read I am thinking four fronts might work pretty good.
-
I think the chrome ones look real good, thought about putting a set on my 3rd gen.
-
My wife has a 4th gen and I've been looking at the tourque thrust that they make for them I like the old school look. But Blazin I agree with ya those 3rd gen whhels might look cool I used to have a couple of those also.
-
yea man, 4 fronts should have the backspacing you want. i think they would look slick on your '95. i want another 3rd gen so bad. i've had 5 and i'm feening.
-
Personally I have little use for anything newer than a 2nd gen Camaro. But I own it, and I can't seem to sell it, so why not make it look a little better. I like the old and the new Torque Thrusts too. But I am looking for low buck, plus I like the factory wheel from another model theme. Like my 55 with the aluminum 78 Vette wheels.

heck, if you were closer and i had something worth trading (besides the beloved GMC) i'd say i'd love to have it...but, it's neither here nor there...
-
I'm hip Blazin, your 55 looks real cool with those wheels. Different era model wheels interchanged on other year or model cars and trucks are the ultimate in subtle yet easy custom mods you can do. Let's see the pics after you do the Camaro.

I have seen a couple fourth gens with iroc wheels and honestly they just dont look right. Irock wheels are blocky looking I guess on a rounded out car where as third gens are blocky looking by design.
-
You are saying they didn't look right by design. What about fit? Did they fill the wheel wells correctly? Did the track from front to rear look correct?
-
its just personal opinion but yes the design just doesnt flow with the body of a 4th gen. I honestly dont remember how well they filled out the wheel wells but I would think it would be about the same as your stock wheels. Why not use some salad shooters from your era camaro? they are dirt cheap and look good in my opinion.
-
Salad shooters ;D. Those things are ugly. Well the problem is the rear tires don't fill the wheel wells enough now.
-
lol, i had some salad shooters on my '92 S-Blazer 4x4...they were on it when i bought it and they were alright lookin...
-
The wife had a 92.loved that car.z28,i liked the wheels that were on there.

I've fooled with 3rd and 4th's. The wheels should fit no problem. Just make sure the offset will match yours.
Then again the frame and suspension of the 4th gen isn't that much different from the 3rd gens from what I've seen. I think even monte carlo rims would work.
-
Monte rims are different bolt pattern I already tried them. I know 3rd gens will fit, they are the same bolt pattern. My question was more should ai buy a set? Or should I buy two front pairs. The stock rear rims in my opinion dont fill the rear wheel wells enough. Not out far enough. I have a lead on another set of Vette wheels like the ones on my 55. I might see how they look onthere! :-\
-
The Vette wheels are way to wide. To bad they look pretty good on it.
-
Someone enlighten me on what rim the salad shooters are ???
I like IROC rims, especially on S-10 trucks and SUV's. But, there are 3 different types: the two-bar design, the 16" 3-bar and the 15" 3-bar. All are 5-spoke rims, but each spoke are either of the 3-bar design or 2-bar design. Personally I like the 3-bar 16" but the 2-bar can look good when chromed.

These are salad shooters. come on 93 up camaros. They are usually dirt cheap. I put them on my 91 s10 blazer 4x4 I used to have cause the back spacing was just right on them plus they were cheap.
-
yep, i had 'em on a '92 S-Blazer 4x4...looked alright on those...
