blocks or springs

hay all, i am going to put a 4" lift on my truck. the question is should i spend the extra cash and get the rear leaf springs or go the cheep rout and just get the blocks for the rear? I'm not doing any rock crawling but i could b known 4 a hole or to so what do ya all think http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_4wd_77-87_4.html this is what i think i want 

or if any one knows a cheeper 4" lift that would b helpfull to

Personally I would use blocks with a 4" lift at the most. As long as your not doing any heavy wheeling I think you'd be fine.

I hate blocks myself and would never use them.  I was just looking at a shackle drop kit to replace the spring hanger.  They look so much stronger than the stock ones and will give you lift as well keeping the stock springs.  Not sure if I would ever use them but is an option too.  Blocks are for sure the cheap way out of it and just fine for street use.

I have blocks for now, but plan on getting springs when I can find some. Im having a hard time finding just the rear springs. The thing about the blocks is the springs seem to twist real bad when you goose it. I cant drive anything that will spin 38s without goosing it.( Truth is I cant drive ANYTHING without goosing it)

ok thanks guys it looks like ill go with blocks is what ill go with  just waiting on the devorce to go thrugh and get the lawyer paid

I wouldn't recommend blocks, other than as a cheap and easy temporary solution.

With shackle flip it would be better handling and safer, but sure it includes more work.
