Break Lines - am i in the right section?
« on: February 07, 2009, 12:54:07 pm »
i have been told that i should carefully inspect the break lines as these are prone to horrible rust issues. is there anything important i need to be aware of?

if the lines do infact need to be replaced is this worth getting mail order or should any good parts store have them.

thanks

if you are rebuilding the truck I would replace em since everything is apart if you are just going over it for safety anything more than surface rust I would replace. Remember that brake lines are double flared and compression fittings are a no no .
You can order than pre bent or you can go to any auto store and get straight line and bend it to what you need.

they are probably fine but if you do get new ones I have bought from both www.inlinetube.com and www.classictube.com and their products were excellent and a very fast turnaround.
