1986 shortbox 2WD or 1988 Blazer 4x4
« on: May 27, 2009, 02:31:45 PM »
Hi all , got two trucks , not sure which one to do up??
The 86 never lets me down , has some typical rust issues , 305 HO rebulit 350 trans...lots of new parts.
Blazer is really rough underneath ,body itself is actually pretty good, does run, everything works, engine is tired , its loaded and 4x4 which would be nice , also TBI.
Any advise / suggesstions?
What will I be able to swap either way
Leaning towards the 86 and swittiching over the tbi , tank from the blazer??
Thanks in advance

Drive the 86, and fix up the Blazer. Then drive the blazer, and fix up the 86. Too many times I have taken a good runner out of commision to fix it up, and then wish I could drive it for some reason. I bought my red truck so I would have something to drive that was cool until I got my tan truck finished, Of course that was before the dually, so I will have two projects going at one time, but I can still cruise the red one.
Id leave the F.I. on the blazer. It will come in handy of the 4x4.
