seatbelts
« on: April 03, 2009, 06:11:53 am »
My Suburban only has lap belts for the second rear seat and from what I've heard, shoulder belts were an option. Right now the lap belts are ok for the baby seat but my wife doesn't like using the lap belt because of their reported tendency to cause injuries in an accident. So did anyone's Sub come with 3 point belts and if so do you think you could take some picks of how they mount ? I've called   and other co's and they said that all of the replacement belts they sell are for front only! I'm also wondering if the threaded parts are behind the upper interior panels or are they just like the 3rd row seat with regards to the floor mounts only being welded into the floor with this factory option only! I haven't taken the interior panels off beside the 2nd seat yet to find out!

Shoulder belt for rear seats didn't start until 1990 on the Blazer and Suburbans.  If you want them you can get some from a salvage yard out of a 90-91 Burb.
