2WD to 4WD coversion

   Hello everyone,new to the forum,not sure if this is were i need to go to ask a few questions.
I have a 1985 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton long bed that came from the factory as Propane powered.The powertrain
is a 5.7 litre V8 with the th400 automatic 2WD.

  I would like to convert it to 4WD.I also have a 1989 4x4 fullsize Blazer that i would like to use as the parts vehicle.Since i basically have all the parts that i need,what is required from there.

I would just get a 4x4 frame. Many people have converted a 2WD frame to 4WD but I think you will find that it's more trouble than it's worth.

You will need every bracket off the front and rear of the Blazer Frame taken off an installed on the truck.  I would suggest using the 1/2T running gear if you don't want to have 2 sets of tires.  You will also have to use the transmission and T-case from the Blazer and you will have to get a rear driveshaft made.

It would probably be easier to find a 3/4T donor 4x4 and just swap the 2WD engine over if that is what you are hoping on keeping.  It is not a simple task.
