Cool, I assumed it would.  I don't suppose that cowl hood is necessary for clearance?

We can talk about smaller superchargers and even centrifugal superchargers(i see real potential there for a 305) later, but mainly i was wondering about a big 6-71 on a 305 because i feel that this would silence the 305 "haters" out there not to mention it would be relatively fast, simple and cheap (time wise) way to turn the 305 into a hot performer?

Relatively fast is easier than a blower for a 305.  Did you check out this link?
