ok so basicly on the axle side the shocks basicly bolt together then the axle? i havent really looked at mine much to notice lol again thanks for this info its been helping greatly!!

What you do is install the outboard shock into the axle bracket. The lower shock bolt will be about 5" long, and it will stick out through the bracket toward the inside of the truck. Install the spacer on the bolt, and then slide the bolt through the inboard shock. Install nut, and tighten.

When looking for the Dana 60 don't always ask for Chevy/GMC Dodge also had the Dana 60 in there 3/4 -1 ton trucks and if you can find one for under 1,000 compleat you better get, most bone yards know what they have when it comes to these.

Should you buy a D60 and it not have the u-bolt plates, here are the OE part numbers for the plates:
DR: 370055
PA: 370056

These numbers have been discontinued by GM, but having the OE part number sometimes helps with a replacement parts search.

I have those same swaybar plates on a D-44 in old rusty.
