anyone know where to find replacement fender?

Not as easy a question to answer as you would think.  I need to find a replacement drivers side fender (stepside) for my 83 c10.  My fuel filler door is located on this fender.  I have literally called probably 50 different places = everyone makes the aftermarket fenders with the fuel filler doors on the right.  From what i understand, from 73-80 the gas tank was on the passenger side of the truck - with an option for dual tanks.  Then from 81-87, the gas tank was moved to the drivers side.  But no matter where i've looked, i cannot find an aftermarket drivers side fender with the fuel filler door.  Anyone had to replace one yet?

I had the same problem as well.  Apparently they stopped making the ones with the driver's fuel door.  One option is to move the tank to the other side and get one of the ones with the passenger door.  The other is to cut the filler from your old fender and weld it into your new one (if that part of your fender is still good), or fabricate a new filler neck/door.

It is no longer produced by GM and no aftermarket company has picked it up yet.
