New to this awesome website
« on: March 04, 2010, 12:35:29 pm »
Hello everybody,
I'm a short time reader and new member of this amazing site.  I am 31 Years old married, no kids...yet and I currently own a 1980 GMC 1500 2wd auto with a 350cu V8.  I have done some of the usual engine dress up stuff but I am more focused on the Interior and body work right now.  I have replaced the cab corners and am currently working on some hopefully minor floor repairs right now.  I have purchased a 700R4 transmission and will be doing that swap in a few months.  I have all of my old stereo equipment from my last baby (1986 Iroc Camaro :'() and with the addition of some new equipment and a lot of fiberglass I hope to have the new and improved system installed as soon as $ and time permit (always the issue right!)  I am also planning on lowering it a few inches and upgrading the rim and tire package but they are fine for now.  I have enjoyed several hours of reading past posts and hope to take part in and maybe add to some with some of my own experiences.  I will start my own build post once I get a little more done to "Old Pete" (named after the guy i got it from).
