Thought my wife broke my truck!
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:33:08 pm »
So I get home today and my better-half tells me she took the truck today and had some problems.  Now mind you, I just finished a lot of work on it including new brakes, shocks, radiator flush and t-stat, new knock sensor, new ESC module and a host of other items to get the old girl running pretty good.

She says she took it out today and had a weird flashing SES light, followed by a set of odd SES lights.  Now the truck was running GREAT yesterday so I was pretty worried something went south.

Went out to start her up... and noticed I had left the jumper installed to check the SES codes from the day before!  No codes and the truck started right up!  The flashing SES light was from running it with the jumper installed...  :o

Glad these trucks are fairly durable!

Lol that's funny. I've done that one too many times!
77 c-10 - 77 400 86 700r4 "Emmy"
83 citation - 2.5L Four on the Floor!
88 sierra - reman 350 700r4 "Eleanor"
All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.
