Hi guys so I started ordering all my autometer phantom gauge and i ran into a problem will a speedometer gauge with a speed input 5/8"-18 threaded cable with a .104" square drive will this work with the stock speedometer cable or will I have to get a new one?

im not sure about autometer but a retro set for my dads 51 require a threaded connection, the stock one is a push on one that clips in, it might not work.

The cable has a chrome end that sides over the rear of the stock speedo. I cut two 1/2in slits along the chrome, spread them a bit, and used a hose clamp to hold it on. Works fine.
