Rock-n-Rumble Cruise-in Pics
« on: May 13, 2010, 02:59:02 pm »
This is our annual 2 day cruise on a 2 mile stretch of Main Street. Friday night the cruise open and Saturday is closed. Our finest were very lenient and tolerent on the closed only cruise. In the 4 hours we rode, we were only scolded once because for some odd reason this one particular cop didn't like the way I was doing my 1/2 a block burnouts :o. Can't wait till next year!! Here are the first of many of the cruisers.

This will rap things up. These pics are the aftermath of a Saturday night of Altus OK Rock-n-Rumble cruise-in on a quiet Sunday morning on Main Street. This was like this for 2 city miles on both sides of the street. Sorry for the bombardment of pics

All normal practicality and rational money handling goes out of the window when it comes to my truck.

Yes it was. There were several of them through out the night. The outside lane was for people wanting to do them and the inside for the laid back folks. Myself, I frequented this lane ;). The ones on the outside lane kept their distance from the one in front them as there was plenty of buckets and water hoses to keep the crowd entertained. I know they are fun to do and fun to watch, but common sense should tell you that when it does blow, the chunks have to go somewhere, and it could very well be into the face of a spectator that is cheering them on. But all was good, no wrecks, damage, or injuries considering the large amount of people involved in the event.

Yeah, I finally gave in and had the hood cut and painted. Guess it does kinda give her a finished look. And the engine bay does stay a little cleaner also. This was our 12th year for the cruise and it just gets better each time. Car show alone had 162 entries. Haven't ever heard how many registered for the cruise. One of these years I'm going to have to take a pic of each one.
