18" wheels anyone?
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:40:21 pm »
I just purchase an '82 about 2weeks ago. After I get her painted I was looking at getting some wheels. It's lowered more in the front than the back, I think you guys call it staggered. Don't know I'm new at this. Well I was considering some 18" but not sure how they'll look, if anyone can post some pics and possibly give your tire size as well to help make up my mind. Thanks in advance.

For some reason, I don't think 18's are that common on these trucks.  I seem to recall seeing tons of 15", some 17", and some 20"...but not too many 18" setups.  Maybe head to www.67-72chevytrucks.com and check out the photo gallery.

18s would look good.  I have 20s on mine with a rake and they fit fine.

Ive got 18x8s in the front and 18x9s in the rear. The front tires are stock heighth and the rears are about 1 inch taller. I like the way they fill the wheel well, plus I like a bit more side wall than some.

i have seen a lot of police pursuit videos, and the suspect's vehicle is usually running those tires. They seem pretty popular.

They're Really cheap and easy to find.  I may buy another set when these wear out. ;D

Someone linked up my wheels and I moved the pictures. If you would like to see them, hit me up and I can email you some pics.

I love the way my 18 & 20 stagger look looks. Kinda wish I went 22 & 20 though.

I get lots of compliments. I may actually sell them too and upgrade to the 22 & 20's. Or possibly to 20X12 and the back instead of my 20X10

Better yet...
