Big Jimmy to the rescue...I was leaving work tonight and just down the road from our studio right before the exit for pulling onto the Kanner Highway here in Stuart, Florida, there's a new gas station being built; I look over and see a guy with a stuck truck and trailer... so I pull over to see if there's anything I can do to help...
The trailer is around 14,000 pounds, it's a fully self contained restroom facility for men and women, brand new, full loaded and sinking into the soft sand. His truck has single track rear-end and the passenger side tire was pretty much dug in and the more he tried to get out the deeper the tire was sinking down.
I always keep chains in my truck just for this kind of thing so I put Jimmy into fourdubbayad and gently yank him out of his sandy graveyard. Next, I look around and find some half sheets of old plywood in a dumpster and lay them down on the sand and back Jimmy onto them and hook his trailer up to my drop hitch. Then we put his truck at the back of the trailer with another set of chains wrapped around the rear axle to yank on the trailer and in unison he yanks and I push and we roll the trailer onto the future gas station island.
Then the sun goes down...He was a heck of nice guy, just got himself stuck trying to turn his truck and trailer around. The sand/dirt on the other side of the island was as solid as concrete, but the sand/dirt in the front reminded me of the "Sugar Sand" I got stuck in at Lake Havasu last year...
Anyway, he's back on the road and the next time he's passing through we're going to meet up for a cold one. He had another 300 miles to drive so the right thing to do was get back on the road, that old
mile a minute thing...
For a moment after pulling over I thought maybe we could wait for a shiny new Land Rover or Porsche Cayenne, or BMW X5 to show up and do the heavy lifting but it was getting dark so we
run what we brung...Here's a few pics, it was getting dark and I used my mediocre iphone camera to take these pictures so I had to lighten them a little...
Not a good situation as the sun is going down...
New trucks are really great but this is a truck you can get dirty and do a little work with...
It actually doesn't look too bad but at 14,000 pounds, it wasn't going to roll out of the sand on it's own...
After pushing the trailer out of the rut I back it up onto the packed dirt so he could hook-up on solid concrete and then get a run at the paved road with a solid start.

Made a new friend, we both figured God's angels were pushing a little here and there and we had a little good luck on our side...
