so the faulty sensor was the problem from the start and cause the sporadic idle

I had a bad one in my 92 s-10. Kept running rich and terrible to drive. I actually had to take it to a shop and boy was I upset when I found out what it was. 10,000 miles later it went out again. Didn't have to go to the shop though!
