I really want to find a fiberglass topper or cap or whatever you want to call it.
I belive the dimensions are 99 1/2  x 72 3/4.
I have checked online and like craigslist, anyone know of a good source to find them.

You may have to find one used.  I have a Leer that was made for our 73-87 trucks.  If you want new you may have to talk to the MFG out there and see if they still have the molds for our style.  I have had so many over the years but you have to get on specific to our trucks or it won't fit right, trust me I know...  IMO the best looking was made by Guidon but A.R.E. has the same style.

Any chance you have a pic of your truck with that cap on?  Id love to see one.. I found one on craigslist that is exactly what im looking for. It has no side windows and is NOT a step up... It came off a c3500 and is 8 foot but i think it will be to narrow.

I have found a couple of toppers finally. One is for a 73-87 8 foot chevy bed. It has windows that look like port holes... Not really my  syle...   But if I have no other choice then......

The second one is on a 90's ford 8 foot bed, Correct me if Im wrong " actually before I speed the $150 for it" but I have been told that pre 96 ford 8 foot caps  fit nicely. This is more my style.

What do you guys think?

The 80-96 F-Series fit fine.  The GM tapers back some and the Ford goes straight back, in the side view mirror the very back seems to stick out 1/4-1/2" out but they fit pretty good and look good.

Way back in the day I used to build these for a second job.  You can always go down to a camper shell outlet, or better yet if you have in your town where they assy. them, and check and see how much one would be.  They should be able to order the top and put windows in when it arrives.
