Independent rear suspension
« on: January 10, 2011, 03:09:39 PM »
I have a 86 silverado, single cab, 2wd, shortbed, 1/2 ton, and thought it would be cool to put an independent rear suspension system under it. I was wondering if anyone has messed with that and how hard it would be to do and if it's worth it

I seen an article once in some magazine, they did a 67-72, so that they didnt have to raise the whole bed or cut the bed out. They used a rearend of out an 2002 or so explorer if I remember right. Built custom A-arms, and a custom cross member, the magazine was sport truck search it they are no longer publishing any more though.

You have to call him.  I have a 96 Vette IRS and he definitely makes them.
