Hood hanging
« on: January 22, 2011, 04:18:15 pm »
I can't seem to adjust my new hood--when its low enough in the back the front side is misalligned.  This is the best I can do:  My fenders have a bunch of shims on the passenger side and I suspect that my hood opening is not very square.  Any tips?
Thanks,
WT

There is a post on here about adjusting hoods that I remember seeing. I bet if you can get that back down it will fit.

Give me a long enough lever and a place to stand, and I shall move the earth or break this bolt...Whatever, just hold my beer!

Have you replaced the fenders? I had some serious problems with aftermarket fenders not allowing the hood to close properly. It was hitting near the header panel. also you could remove the hinges and see if lays in correctly.
