Today's replacement stereos simply won't fit in your dash without modifications (ie: cutting the metal in your dash to make it completely rectangular).
There are a few companies that make stereos that will fit, but good luck finding any and you'll pay extra.
I simply took a metal grinder wheel and ripped the hole out where the knobs used to go through on the stock equipment. I think it looks pretty good w/ the modern stereo. Of course it channels through a 1,000 watt amp under my seat before leading to my 12 inch woofers and tweeters. BTW, i love my remote control for it too!!!
