350 H.O. gmpp motor

Hi everyone! New to the board, been checking the site out for awhile now.
I have an 84 C10 with a 305 & a TH350 trans. Im going to replace the 305 with the GM 350 H.O. motor.
I plan on sticking with the TH350...for the time being anyways.
Just wondering what are some opinions of anyone who has any experience or dealings with this particular motor.

92 octane that gives 330 hp 380 ft lbs torque?

You can probably do better, like a 400cid, or, in my case, I replaced a 350 with a 383 stroker which, too, is  a direct replacement w/ any sbc engine, since it is a 350 block (stroked w/ 400 crank and flexplate/ balancer).  You can get a decent 383 w/ warranty no core for around $2500-2800.   They are loaded with torque.

Thanks Sgt. The Silverado is really just gonna be my weekend cruiser. I dont really wanna go 383 tho. But I have seen Blueprint's set up advertised for very good prices w/ decent warranties too. Their base 355 only as 310 hp tho. I could get 330 outta the 350 ho. Is it a must to run 92 octane in the 350ho? Bluprint's 375 & 385 hp 355's are an attractive choice for sure.
I read as long as I dont go over 400 hp that I should be able to keep the TH350. for now anyways.

the th350 should be just fine.  I have one behind my 383 stroker which has over 430 ft lbs of torque and i have a heavy foot often.  The 92 octane is what i read on the webpage, if that is the engine you are looking at.
