lowered stepper needs new skins
« on: December 23, 2003, 01:37:00 am »
My lowered 75C10 needs new tires. it has 255/60/15s now, kinda been thinkin 275/60/15s.
The truck has 4.11s now & geared way to deep with this size tire, thinking about switching to 3.73s.
But I see now Hoosier has a Pro Street radial thats 29"X10". my truck sits about an inch low in the rear, these tires would level it out & allow me to keep my 4.11s. BFG also has there drag radial in about the same size for alot less( the Hoosier Pro Streets are pricey), alost 100.00 each less. But Im conserned with the wear on the Drag radials.
its not a daily driver, just a weekend toy, but If I decide I want to cruise to Springfield for CarCraft cruise, Idont want to have to worry about the tire wear.
With the 454 I need some bite, & I like th efilled wheel well look with big side walls. any opinions on either ?

BFG sells a 285/70/15  Radial T/A which is just over 30" tall on an 8" rim.  About 85 bucks at TireRack.com.
Had a set on the stepside and they filled the rear well real nice. also, the're a little wider than a 275/60.
