Fuel Filter
« on: July 13, 2011, 07:16:27 pm »
I was underneath my truck (85 Silverado) and i found a inline fuel filter on the passenger side frame rail
at the back of the cab/front of the bed area. Does anyone know if this came from the factory or did
someone just put it there? Thanks for any info.

The only stock one I was aware of is in the carb where the fuel line comes in. Do you have a pic? I have two '85 Silverado's so I can look tomorrow... dark here now.

Yeah, thats most likely aftermarket. They probably put it there instead of replacing the steel line that runs from the pump to the carb.

Yep, checked my trucks and nothing. I was surprised how darn rusty my older trucks fuel lines were. I can't believe they didn't leak :-\
