Hi, I've been a member for a month or so.  This is a fantastic site with lots of info and great projects!  My name is Rusty. I'm a pilot based in Toronto but I live an hours drive north of the city, in Barrie.  All my life I've liked to work with tools and machinery.  If I wasn't a pilot I would be a mechanic or truck driver!  I have loved the 73-87's since I was 17 (I'm 36 now), however I favor the pre 81 models!  My first one was a 76 C10, which my father still has and will probably be my next project.  I've had a 78 K10 which was a lot of fun back in college.  Right now I'm working on a 79 K20 with a 350, sm465, np205 combo.  I've had it since 2003.  I bought it in Manitoba and drove it to Vancouver where I was living at the time.  A few years later I drove it (with a camper on the back) to Ontario when I moved for work.  Now it's undergoing a complete frame off restoration.  I'll use it as a driver and will still use it to haul the camper.  I can't wait for it to be done so the GF and I can upgrade from the tent we use now!  It's tough to find truck body parts around here but there are a few outfits that import them from the southern US.  I've always been able to tackle the mechanical side of these projects but need to improve on welding and bodywork. .  Anyway, this is a great site and I check it out daily.  Good luck with your projects everyone!!
