Senior health care plan!
« on: October 01, 2011, 09:38:47 pm »
So you're a sick senior citizen and the government says there is no nursing home available for you.
What do you do?

Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 1 bullet. You are allowed to shoot 1 Politician.
Of course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get three meals a day, a roof over your head, central heat and a/c, cable and all the health care you need!
Need new teeth? No problem. Need glasses? That’s great. Need a new hip, knees, kidney, lungs or heart? They’re all covered. And, as an added bonus, your kids can come and visit you as often as they do now.

And who will be paying for all of this? It’s the same government that just told you that you they can’t afford for you to go into a home.

Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes anymore. What a deal!

Is this a great country or what?

Don't forget about the conjugal visits also...

I have always said that if I ever become homeless, I am going to rob a bank!
1. I will have enough money to put a roof over my head for awhile if I get away, or
2. Get put in jail and have everything paid for and 3 squares a day...

there has been times when someone who need a surgery to survive but cant afford it will go to a bank hand them a note asking for money and not having a weapon then just sit on the curb till the cops show up. the state will then pay for the surgery because the suspect will have to see his day in court so he has to survive

In our county, we pull a sly one on them.  They think they can steal a snickers bar and get their much needed surgery or pregnancy care or what not.  We have record numbers of inmates on Home Incarceration w/ GPS monitoring--which they must pay $10 a day.  If they need to go to the hospital, well, they are on their own to go w/ their supposed insurance. A furlough is issued whether they like it or not. Their time stops, then picks back up later.

Blazin's plan would work as long as one of the rules had to be they had to start at the top of the politician food chain.
#1: The easiest and most obvious solution to any problem is 99% of the time correct.
#2: There is no such thing as impossible, it just takes longer.

What i kind of favor---based on my limited understanding of the whole health care thing, is sort of like a loan program much like the educational loan program.

In other words, we would have a fixed and reasonable interest rate; Not too long ago 8% was considered "good."  i guess today 1-3% would be good.   But this would vary depending on the economy situation. We set up reasonable steady payments.

a) You'd have to prove you could not get insurance or the insurance would not cover whatever procedure you needed and you'd have to prove you need the loan---don't have reasonable means to pay.

b) This would be just like student loans in that if you don't/can't pay we go to tax refunds first, and then garnishments, liens, siezures etc.

Of course, some may not be able to pay even after the procedure(s), in that case we continue to supply money.  This is sort of like a "super" social security system?   i'm hoping that there will be enough able-bodied people who CAN pay so that it will equal out.  (hopefully).
