« on: October 28, 2011, 09:35:49 am »
Hey everyone. So my truck has a sunroof someone put in, now its leaky and sucks!! but anyway, i pulled it out and got a donor roof from another truck that im gonna cut out a section and put on.

My question is, my truck is already painted, so how would i go about doing this?

White top replica.  Weld the roof section in and body work it, prime and paint.  You could try to match color, or you could paint the roof and the area around the back glass a different color, like the white roof option.

P.S. Panel bond adhesive might be a better alternative to welding the roof.

I also have a sunroof that needs to be removed. As far as I know you will have to cut out the upper skin, then patch the bottom and weld on a new top. Painting is pretty much un-avoidable. Please post pics of this project. Good luck!
