California Possibly (Again)
« on: October 22, 2011, 08:03:57 pm »
Well back in April/May I was looking at taking up residence in California again. I cashed that idea out as work picked up again and the job situation in California isn't any better than it is here in Arizona.

Well earlier this week I got a call from my younger brother who informed me that our step-father is pretty sick, some kind of cancer that is being treated with chemo. Apparently my step-father has been trying to get ahold of me to see if I can come baby-sit his property for the winter as it's difficult to get in and out in the winter.

His property is on the west bank of Mt. Lassen state park, about two miles from the State Park/ Sierra Pacific Logging Co borders, 8-10 Miles of dirt logging roads depending on which way you come in. Totally off the grid, I love it up there.

So I called him that same night, he is staying with a friend of his down in Redding to be closer to the doctors and comes home on the weekends. I told him that if he needed me, I'd be there since my lease is up on my apartment and I don't plan on renewing it.

We've got some details to iron out, but I should know for sure if I'm going in the next few weeks. I'll have to keep the 74 at my Mom's place as its a 2wd on street tires and not gonna make it into his place, or it will but won't come out until March(ish)

I'll keep ya'll up on whats happenin.
