Cut out the bad, then figure out if your fabricating the patches, or grafting form the donor. Sand blast the area inside and out to remove all the the rust, and paint.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Gonna pull the cab here soon and get it in the garage so i can see the full extent of the damage. Is it possible to grind off the spotwelds on the firewall and drop the whole bottom out?

I had the same problem on my cab, I used a spot weld cutter (drill bit type) can be bought at napa for about 8 dollars, it makes real short work out of spot welds.

I'm cutting out the bad. This is the drivers side. I figured I would try the side that was in better shape first for a trial run. Didnt get the cab off yet. Yea, I'm a bum. Also I  found some corrosion lurking up under the window when I hit it with the wire wheel. I hope this doesnt turn out to be a nightmare.

* Blazin - I think I'm going to try and repair/fabricate some pieces. The donors are in there too deep. No power for the sawzall !
