ok my dad has a th350 that was rebuilt some time ago but it was mounted to the block and the driveshaft so it wasnt "open". would it be still good or do you think the time still ruined all the seals
1979 Chevy C10 Silverado package. 350/350

     If it was mounted, and had fluid in it, the only reason that the seals would be no good is if it dried up, and that would take some time to do.  In my opinion you should use the tranny and see if there is any leaks.
