having trouble

well the other day im driving my truck and the truck just trurned off.... lights in the cab still work and headlights still work.  stereo wont come on and the the engine wont even turn over. its almost as if my starter and my fuel system went haywire at the same time.

my truck if tbi if that makes any difference

Somebody please help i dont even know where to begin...

Check your fusible links at the starter and firewall junction block.

I just went through the fuseable link fiasco, my lights didn't come on, there was nothing in the entire truck working. I'd get the alternator tested, if it checks out, check your grounds.

There is more than one fusible wire protecting various circuits on most of these trucks.  The links are fundamental to the charging system and need to be verified.  If the right link is open the charging system won't function.

what about the wires on the starter, like that little red one

The little red wire, the "s" terminal, fires the solenoid on the starter.  That would explain the starter not turning over, but not the other symptoms.  I'd start at the fusible links as well.
