Crate 305?
« on: January 08, 2012, 12:21:19 am »
I decided to put in a different engine in my '83 C10. The old 350 that was in it was leaking oil (see previous post), covered in sludge, and was getting kinda tired. I got an engine from a guy today who claims it is a crate 305. Did GM Goodwrench make replacement 305s? I've always heard of the crate 350s and 383s. It came with a 2 bbl. intake and carb.

To be sure, run the number on the back of the engine block, it will tell you what range of year and cubic inch it is.
