How much lift?

I just got an 85 C10 pickup. I want to put a lift kit on it, but I bon't want it to be too high. It will see a little bit of off roading every now and then, but for the most part it will be street driven. any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

why do you want to lift a two wheel drive truck if you mean you have a four wheel drive your truck would be a K10 not a C10 and a 4 inch lift would cerfice
