Hello from NW Indiana
« on: February 25, 2012, 12:10:48 pm »
Checking in from the salt belt! I'm restoring a '79 K20 Camper Special, same year I was born, so I want to make it as original as possible. It's got all new sheet metal, but in primer and still needs some long boarding. It came in Scottsdale configuration, oyster white interior (rare?), power windows, sliding rear window, ac, tilt, tinted glass... Outside was originally two-tone mystic black with white. I am on the fence about painting it original, or going with an early seventies ugly green with white two-tone. I'll post some pics when I figure it out.

Closer neighbor than you might think, my truck is at our farm in Hebron, I live in Winfield.  I'm pumped about this site - this is the first square body for me, I've done some other restos, but this might turn into my favorite.

Holler if you need any pointers or help... I have had dozens of these over the years, just so happens I am stuck in the 85's-86 as seen in my signature below...  There are a few nice 73-87 cruising around our parts, just haven't talked to any and share the site with them...
