Body Plugs
« on: August 14, 2014, 11:35:56 pm »
I have a 1982 standard cab. The original owner had the dealer take out the manual trans and install a 350 automatic trans. They replaced the steering column and pedal assembly. They installed a rubber plug to block off the hole where the clutch linkage went through the body. They did a fantastic job. I thought the truck had left the factory as an automatic.
Turn the clock a head thirty-two years and the rubber plug to block off the linkage holes has deteriorated. Anyone have a source for this plug?
A friend who retired from the local dealer seems to remember this plug being used on 80 and earlier models but he isn't sure.
Dealer wasn't any help.

I have found this plugs at Napa and the sorts, you usually have to go looking through all the plugs and grommets they have.
