bed rails

I was walking thru Pull A Part a few days ago and noticed lots of luggage racks on vans, Suburbans, SUV's etc. I was thinking maybe some of them would make good looking bed rails. Who has done it? I know I can't be the first to think of this! Pics, suggestions, comments?

Ive seen them made from luggage racks hacked up and welded together. Tube bed rails look sweet, and brand new sets are way overpriced.
