Best to the lower the rear of an 83

Thinking of a 2.5/4 drop on the 83 c-10
Spindles in the front
Is hangers and shackles in the rear the best way to get to the 4 in drop

Considering very strongly of doing the same on my 87. Jegs Spindles or the Summit Brand Spindles seem to be the best value I have found for the front. Anyone feel free to correct me if there is a issue with either of those. Hangers & shackles seems to be real popular for the rear 4" drop. With the shackles there is the need to notch the bed rail which I would rather not have to do. So I am undecided exactly which route for the rear myself. I will admit that I have never lower one myself before, but have helped on some of the homemade DIY jobs that rode pretty solid. I don't want a big drop myself either just enough to close up the wheel wells alittle. I may not even need quit 4" Drop in the rear. Any advice is appreciated.

Yes they make a lowering leaf for the rear.  Don't remember who, but they are out there.  You could have a set custom made by a spring shop also...
