1978 Chevy Pavement Pounder Firewall Extreme Makeover

Here's an update, I stay so busy it's hard to do all the things I want to do including post to 73-87 Blazer Forums.

Anyway, last week we removed the front clip, engine, transmission and transfercase. This weekend we cleaned up the firewall. Next week the front frame. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Here's the before shot after first removing the front clip...

This is my friend Rene wire brushing the firewall

Easy Off is Lye, it will pretty much eat through anything...

Easy Off Oven Cleaner, it's not just for kitchens any more....

After Cleaning...

After paint...

Next week we'll tackle the front portion of the fame to get it ready for the new 454 engine.

Very nicely done!  What type of paint did you use?  Primer?

Rustoleum Clean Metal Primer and Hammered Black Paint

Removed the springs to install the 12" springs I bought from a guy on TGW and stalled out because I want to first install some new bushings.  Started a thread about this here.
Here's a couple of pics...
