Rust repair on something a bit older
« on: November 04, 2012, 07:58:29 am »
My friends dad's 79 Chevy Impala, 80,000 original miles.
This was a spray bomb job. Used a high build urethane spray bomb primer, and I ordered up the correct paint code from the paint counter in a spray can. For what he was looking to spend, and the limited summer use this car gets it was the best option. He puts about a 1,000 miles a summer on it. It sits in his garage from early Sept. until late May while he is in Arizona.

Passengers side.

Patch in the wheel well.

Outer patch.

All prettied up.

Patched bith sides.

Nice job for what he wanted to spend.  He will probably be tickled pink with the results.

He was happy as a witch in a broom factory.
