An old truck of mine
« on: January 10, 2013, 07:08:14 am »
This is a 1983 K20 350/700r4 that I owned from 1997-2001.  I really loved this truck, had a lot of fun playing in the mud, snow, and just driving it.  I ended up selling to a guy in Cole Camp, MO because I had shelled the trannsmission and I had no money to fix it or store it.  In this pic I was running 33/12.5/16.5 Sport King tires.  I had each KC light wired on its on switch and I always kept the cover off the one facing the rear.  It worked out really good for people who tailgated you late at night.

Well I found a facebook group for the town the guy was from I sold the truck in.  There are over 400 members and this town only has a population of 1121, so surely someone will have noticed this truck at one time or knows if it is still alive.  If this old truck is still running or not completely rusted out I might try and buy it back.  We will see.

When a friend of mine told me he'd seen my old '74 K10 not too long ago (sold it before I moved to AR for a bit), my wife felt a disturbance in the Force. She's afraid I'll try to get it back if I do find it.

She's probably right. :)

There is just something about a truck you had for a while, put your blood & sweat into it, and made some good memories.  Just wish I hadn't sold it, but I was young, stupid and didn't have the money at the time to fix the transmission.
