What's the biggest tire size i can put on with a 1.5" lift?
« on: August 13, 2013, 06:46:19 PM »
I'm going to make some lift blocks. 1 1/2" total for my truck. What's the biggest tire size I can put on there. I've seen some guys with 33 inch tires without a lift and some minor rubbing issues.

With that being said what size tire could I throw on with a 1 1/2" lift? I wont mind a little rubbing issues but I don't what to do any MAJOR body mods but I'm not close minded to minor body mods. I don't want a bigger lift either.

Lift blocks in front is not a good idea...ever...  Back is OK but get an extra leaf up front.  More will chime in.  33" will be fine, 35" may be OK if the backspace on the rim isn't to crazy...

lift blocks < Body lift.

body lift < Suspension lift.

Can get a suspension lift or body lift all day long for cheap.

What the reason why I shouldn't put blocks on the front?

under hard braking or hitting something hard with the front wheels, can cause the front blocks to shift or even spit out causing all sort of things to go wrong.
its never finished

like chris said. it adds more leverage on the axle to be able to flex under the springs. the blocks will pop out and you will lose steering. someone on here knew someone killed this way.

Sometimes this is hard to do only on faith, lucky for you there is enough bad experiences out there that you can research and read and see for yourself the results of front blocks if you do not want to believe anybody on here.
