Can it be used on a stock engine? on the NOS website is says that you can use the 50hp shot on a stock engine.

well if the web site says so, then do it. but imo i dont think a stock engine/pistons will hold up very long to the oxide. but im not 100% on this we do have some people that will know.

     I really hope that was to be humerus.  Makes me think of this 30 second commercial, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmx4twCK3_I, you should watch it, it's funny.

     The picture below shows what happens if NOS is used improperly,(if any left over fuel in in the intake when NOS is introduced this could be the result), when used properly it does add horsepower.  A very good article to read is found here, http://www.competitionplus.com/05_20_2004/n20_myths.html.

     There is a very big difference between "stock" engines and "race built" engines.  I personally have seen what it did to my son's 300Z when he added a 50 shot of NOS to a stock, used engine, after I told him the chances he is taking mind you.  You know sometimes people just have to learn for themselves.

Well just goin to say it but a 50 shot of nitrous isnt much for most motors, but you didnt even tell us what year, and size motor you have s here are the safe hp shots for a 350 and a 454 motor below.

(350) 50-75 shot
(454) 100-150 shot

Also thats saying if you use the nitrous correctly and your motors internals are in good shape and good compression then those amunts shouldnt hurt to be used once in awhile lol but there is always a chance it will thrw a rod or some crap s it's really not worth the cost, an time to buy a nitrus system hen learn about it and fiure out how toinstall it ll I ould say just upgrade he head or something instead.

lol yeah i was being my typical smart self
but what i was pretty much saying i would run it on a engine that wasnt built for power. i wouldnt run it on a engine thats seen over 100k miles. like i said i dont know for sure but thats just the first couple things that pop into my mind

If your motor isn't prepared/built for nitrous, it will in all likelihood shorten the engine's life.  Nitrous severely stresses an engine and drivetrain.  Under the right (or wrong) circumstances, consequences can be catastrophic.  Unless you have a "prosperous money tree," better to avoid the headache and expense.
