I've been so busy since I got of school. I did the crap moved out of the Cheby and pulled it back to where it normally sits. I took the mulberry trees out that used to crowd that area so as soon as the grass grows in I won't have to work in the mud on it.

I also pulled the old Harley out. It's been sitting the back of the shed for about three years and hasn't been started. I checked stuff out, washed it, got really depressed over the amount of rust on it  :'(, sprayed the carb with cleaner and in the process created a puddle of carb cleaner inside against the throttle plate, decided to install the battery, hit the ignition and lo and behold it fired right up and ran about ten seconds on the carb cleaner!  :o  So I poured in about half a gallon of gas and it fired and ran beautifully. It needs a lot of TLC since it's been mine since 1984 when I bought it brand spanky new. I parked it about 5-6 years ago when I was working I just didn't have time to ride anymore.

years of dust and cobwebs-

After a first wash- cat's loved squirting on this thing.. >:(

probably beyond looking good ever again-

All the drips in dirt is due to a leaking front master cylinder- my hone does not go small enough-

So, after this is cleaned up, the rust removed as best as possible, and it's sort of safer to ride I'll be getting around to the truck. I haven't tried starting the truck yet, maybe this weekend. When I pulled it across the yard I left it in low so the engine would turn and get some oil moving. I don't have a good battery for it so I'll need to steal the one out of the Farmall tractor. Hopefully the gas is sludge in the tank and the carb hasn't corroded too bad. It was brand new when it was parked.
I am what I am and I ain't no more!
