vacuum routing - pictures needed for a 305
« on: April 16, 2014, 09:34:16 am »
I have the vacuum routing diagram intact for my truck but most of the components have been removed or at least some components and all vacuum lines. I was hoping someone could provide me pics of their engine compartment so I could look at what's supposed to be there and how everything is routed. I know some components on sight like egr pcv etc.. but other components it lists I have no idea what they are or what they're supposed to look like.

it's a 85 silverado k10 with a 305 in it

thanks so much

Once again I have to pull off the 86, someone has to get a 85 manual to CaptKoas so he can upload it to the tech section, this is the 5th time in 3 days I have referred to the 86.  Oh well I degrees.
Here is the link for the 86 manual.  First thing I would do is go to section 6E8-11 (page 889), this is the beginning of the pic diagrams for the 305 engines, you have to pick which vin code your truck is. (see pics) and then compare to what you said you have on your truck to make sure they did not change something between 85 and 86.
The section on emissions  start at section 6E-1 (page 860), component system starts at section 6E-7 (page 866) which tells you what each item is and what id does.
Until you get somebody to give you pics of their 85, at lest you can read up and familiarize yourself with the components.
