Vehicle History report (free) or one that accepts PayPal
« on: June 18, 2014, 10:16:59 pm »
Does anyone know of one?  There are plenty that says they are free but cost at the end.  I don't mind paying but am not going to put my credit card out there.  I would be happy to pay with PayPal though.  Anyone aware of one out there?

I have never done it but out here in CA. you are always hearing about the free "carfax" you can get.
Are you thinking about buying a vehicle ?  Again out here in CA. it has become common practice for the seller to provide a carfax, and the buyer to ask the seller to provide one.
Here is there website if you are interested.

I've ordered a carfax before there not really cheap it was like 35 bucks for one but if you paid like 50 then you could do several. I understand your concern about the credit card issue (generally) if your card is used with out your permission, the credit card company will erase any unauthorized purchases and get you a new card. The credit card companies have to have something in place so people aren't afraid to use there cards because that's how they make there money. I'm sure if we started a thread about credit card stories we would get some info on how people are affected and what the card companies actions were. I'm not aware of any free report places that don't have at least some catch ( nothing's freeeeeeee LOL) As a side note for 50 bucks I ordered my trucks build info from the GM Heritage center it was pretty interesting.

No I am digging into the history of my extended cab for potential buyers.  I did find out BNSF held the first title to it, curious as to its past.
